Angie is from Terre Haute, Indiana. She attended Indiana State University and was a member of their cheer squad. She moved to Louisville in 1992 to coach gymnastics. She was a competitive gymnast through high school and started coaching in 1986. In 1997, Angie was honored as Region V Coach of the Year. Angie has coached numerous State, Regional, and National Champions. She has also helped many gymnasts earn college gymnastics scholarships. Angie has a degree in Exercise Science & Sports Medicine from the University of Louisville. She came to Champion Gymnastics in July of 1999, excited about the prospect of owning her own business. Since then she has worked very hard to make Champion Gymnastics the top Gymnastics club in Kentucky, and one of the strongest in the nation. Angie, her husband Emmitt, and business partner Roy Niemi began planning their dream, to combine Champion Gymnastics and Power Cheer Training Center into a Kid's Multi-Sport Center. On April 7th, 2002 their dream became a reality and the doors to All About Kids Sports Center officially opened. Angie now takes an active roll in all aspects of the business. Angie and her husband were featured on the popular television show "Trading Spaces" in 2003. She and Emmitt have four children: Shyla, Micheal, Katie and Marcus.
